Ginger and honey drink
For 3 liters of water
30 g freshly grated ginger
12 black peppercorns
50 g or more white honey or blueberry blossom honey
1 pinch turmeric (optional)
50 ml or more lemon juice
Pour half the fresh water, ginger and pepper into a pot. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 3 minutes. Pour through a sieve into a large bowl. Reserve the ginger and pepper.
Repeat the operation with the remaining water and the same ginger-pepper mixture: boil, simmer, filter.
Add the honey, turmeric and lemon juice to the bowl and stir.
Let cool, then pour into glass bottles (clean, used wine bottles with screw caps are perfect for this purpose). Store in the fridge and enjoy cold. This drink keeps for at least a week in the fridge.
